Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: West Byfleet, with travel throughout Watford, Windsor, Uxbridge and Central London
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00AM-5PM) with 1 week in 5/6 either Saturday or Sunday AM
Salary: £34,000-£36,000 dependent on experience
Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for a Handyperson who will successfully deliver the day-to-day repairs service, providing front line delivery to the MOD families. You will work to deliver highest quality Right First-Time service and carry out technical services task.
As part of a multi trades team of 11, you will be undertaking repairs and reactive maintenance to domestic housing for military families. This could include; changing locks and door handles, plastering works, fixing tap leaks and repairing ceilings, doors and floors of buildings. It could also include external works, such as slabbing.
You will be assigned up to 8 work tasks a day which will be scheduled for you a day in advance, and then you will travel to the assigned site and stay for the full day to complete all works.
As you will be working in occupied domestic properties, this will be a customer facing role.
This role will see you carry out repairs to a variety of building services, including carpentry and minor plumbing works, building work and grounds work.
What you’ll need to do this role
It is essential that you have previous experience as a multi trade, with a background in domestic carpentry. It is highly desirable that you have experience in plumbing. Qualifications in carpentry or plumbing are also highly desirable but not essential. It is essential you have some experience and are comfortable with a customer facing role.
This role will see you travel to other sites across the area, therefore it is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence.
It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
