We are delighted to welcome applications to join Ward B2 Hip Suite as a Clinical Support Worker based at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics Department.
We are searching for caring individuals who understand the needs of our patients and display compassion and patience at all times.
Successful applicants will be actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge to meet both personal and service development needs.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing / Midwifery team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient’s condition which may require the intervention of others.
The post holder will be assessed on appointment on their level of competence and may be required to undertake development to include basic skills and in house development programme.

Education and Qualifications
* English and Maths Qualifications at one of the following academic levels/grades:- O Level - Grade A to C CSE Grade 1 only GCSE Grade A to C GCSE Grade 9 to 4 Functional skills Level 2
* NVQ Level 2 in Health Care
* Care certificate or relevant experience
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience of caring for people in a care worker role within a hospital, the community or residential nursing home setting
* Experience of customer care/dealing with the public
Interests and Motivation
* Commitment to undertake in-house training
* Willingness to undertake NVQ level 2 in Health Care, as appropriate
Personal Qualities
* Demonstrates a caring attitude to patient care
Communication
* Clear communication skills oral and written
