We are supporting various customers worldwide in automotive engineering. We are recruiting for a Special Vehicle Process/Build Senior Engineer for our UK customer. Objectives This is an exciting opportunity to join the Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on the commercial vehicle product line-up. Based in Dagenham the position relies on a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction. What you bring along: Skills required: Knowledge of development of manufacturing processes for vehicle modifications whether body, paint, electrical system etc. Knowledge of facility installations required to deliver the vehicle modification whether body, paint, electrical system etc. Achievement of process metrics including JPH, CPU, HPU, FTT targets for elements of added content Identifying process improvements, and training the operating team in how to implement the revised process Developing/reviewing cost saving possibilities, providing technical justifications and preparations for projects and implementing changes Experience required: Vehicle Operations experience Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Education required: Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent Education preferred: Master’s degree in relevant subject Position is confirmed inside IR35. Successful candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK.
