The Mandrake, a boutique lifestyle 5-star luxury hotel nestled in the heart of Central London, is seeking a skilled and experienced Spa Receptionist to join our world-class spa team for its innovative new spa opening - DAMU.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional spa experiences, in a luxury environment - responsible for assisting the Spa Manager with the operation of The Damu Spa facilities and in particular oversee the reception duties whilst maintaining maximum sales and excellence in service standards. The receptionist shall show a thorough understanding of the product and services, whilst providing support to the Spa Manager. .
What you'll do:
Working as part of a team of Spa Receptionists to deliver outstanding guest service while assisting in driving the financial performance of the spa including retail sales, treatment scheduling and up-selling. The role also involves taking care of day guests and hotel guests and this role will include responsibilities which include but are not exclusive to:
* Ensuring a warm friendly welcome to all guests
* Having a complete knowledge of the treatments and services offered, and any promotions that may be on offer on an ongoing basis
* Co-ordinating guests' consultation records with our therapy team.
* Being responsible for all billing procedures at the reception desk and the correct reconciliation of funds at the close of each shift and at the end of the day's work.
* Completing daily opening procedures and check lists per relevant area daily.
* Scheduling reservations of spa services for guests and monitor availability of treatments and staff to ensure prompt service according to the relevant skills of the therapists.
* Organising scheduling of treatments to maximise use of time and profitability whilst ensuring that the client's needs are of first importance.
* Recognising the importance of "sales" in every aspect of your role.
* Being responsible for preparing the reception area and desk for the next shift, ensuring all messages have been passed on before leaving
* Ensuring guest areas, including locker areas are kept clean and up to standard, following our guidelines and coordinating this with the spa attendants.
* Please note this role requires an element of manual handling
What you'll have:
* Previous experience within a luxury five-star environment would be beneficial.
* Experience of working with hotel and spa booking and scheduling software including book4time or similar software
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
* Excellent understanding of client care and five-star standards
* Genuine interest in holistic spa philosophy
