Job Description ARE YOU A COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGNER LOOKING FOR A NEW ROLE? Our client based in Essex is a team of creatives specialising in interiors, marketing, and brand strategy. As a Commercial Interior Designer, you will report directly to our Head of Design. You will be responsible for creating and managing through to delivery projects such as Marketing Suites, Modular buildings, and Amenity spaces assisting on both CAT A/B works and providing design solutions for the new homes sector. You will need to work from the conceptual stage when required, through to drawing up technical drawings and specifying, all while managing multiple projects and delivering up to hand-over. Our client offers hybrid working; Monday and Thursday are compulsory office days, and the remaining 3 are working from home/ client meetings/ pitches, etc. To be apply for this role, you will NEED: A Degree or equivalent in Interior Design/ Interior Architecture. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience of working in a similar position as an Interior Designer. Full and clean UK driving license. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Proficiency in SketchUp. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suites. Other requirements: Understanding of RIBA stages. Technical drawing proficiency. FF&E/ FF&E supplier experience and knowledge. Experience in procurement and purchasing. Experience of projects from concept to completion. Financial understanding of project costs and budget awareness. Good level MAC operating and creative software skills. Visualisation abilities. A brief understanding of GDPR and relevant legislations. RESPONSIBILITIES of the role: Deliver confident and skilled space planning (building regulations where applicable). Actively attending site visits, research, and managing the installation/fit-out duration of projects. Produce mood, material, and design presentations. Assist the team with FF&E specifications. Space planning in AutoCAD and assisting and guiding the Technical Designers with working drawings. Briefing visualisers on any CGI work. Attend client meetings. Liaising with external specialists (Architects, engineers, suppliers, consultants). Sourcing and procuring materials/ products for schedules.
