European Group Treasury Manager – Blackburn – £60,000 to £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Our client is a global business that is looking to recruit to the post of European Group Treasury Manager. The role would suit someone looking to build on their career to date, and the role will provide a real opportunity to influence change and make a real impact on delivering the longer term treasury strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Group Treasury Operations team
2. Ensure Treasury operations are efficient, subject to adequate segregation of duty, well documented and managed within company policy and procedures
3. Manage the reporting of global multi-currency cash, specifically short term liquidity and related banking structures
4. Develop and implement efficient operational in-country bank structures across Europe to support business activity (namely France, Benelux, Germany and Italy)
5. Manage the consolidation of the Group’s cash flow forecast and work to challenge and improve the accuracy of forecasting, identifying key movements and drawdown requirements
6. Monitor, analyse and report on risk management focusing on continuous improvement, including foreign exchange, interest, and liquidity risk
7. In conjunction with the Tax and Legal Departments, manage the inter-company financing strategy and funding, and related loan documentation
8. Responsible for the negotiation of the International Swap and Derivative Association (ISDA) documentation with FX and IR counterparties
9. Liaise with the country Finance and buying leads across the Group to manage and improve foreign currency forecasting and analysis of the Group’s FX exposures
10. Manage the Group’s global guarantees and letter of credit facilities and issuance
11. Monitor and intervene to help improve working capital metrics
This will be a pivotal post in treasury, and will give the successful applicant high visibility and exposure to key stakeholders in the business. It is essential you have proven staff management skills along with experience of working in a larger complex business. It is essential you can communicate effectively with financial and non-financial colleagues. Ideally you will be qualified ACT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Additionally, we are seeking someone who can focus on delivery, and is able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
