You will work with the Corporate Safety & Training Manager, and the training team to develop and deliver the Council's H&S strategy. The strategy aims to ensure that all staff and external partners have access to suitable, high quality and appropriate H&S training. All training is designed to ensure compliance with legislation and with the aim of reducing risk as far as practicable for the council, schools, contractors, and the public. The successful post holder will develop, update, and deliver comprehensive training packages for staff and external providers whilst promoting a positive H&S culture and ensuring statutory compliance. Our trainers deliver courses in a wide variety of safety topics including Risk Assessment, COSHH, Fire Safety and Manual Handling plus health related topics such as Food Safety, Nutrition, Infection Control and First Aid.
