Your Role As a Procurement Lead reporting to the Senior Manger (Utilities) you will be a subject matter expert who can use their in-depth industry knowledge to lead the procurement of energy as well as shape and deliver the ESG net zero agenda. The role will involve dealing with stakeholders at all levels within the company to shape and deliver our strategic goals to deliver our long-term business strategy as well as: Lead the delivery of large complex agreements around utility hedging and the rollout of large-scale renewable projects. Leverage a deep understanding of the challenges and drivers within the category to develop and deliver category strategies across the group and our supply chain. Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to support transformation initiatives and maintain a competitive cost base. Monitor market developments and execute the energy risk management policy including the use of Financial Hedging. Develop relationships with suppliers and other providers so Asda is perceived as a high-quality partner. Manage tendering processes for large scale contracts, PPAs and other service providers including l eading on major business investments and executive priorities within the function. Manage energy contract performance from providers such as suppliers, PPA providers and consultancy support partners Review aggregate consumption patterns and forecasts (in conjunction with Property and third-party service providers) to ensure contractual commitments satisfy business requirements Input into the selection and onboarding of new specialist service providers Develop supply chains for opportunities to reduce Asda's environmental impact Manage project delivery, undertake analysis required and present outcomes. Manage end-to-end sourcing activities and develop category strategies. Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to support transformation initiatives and maintain a competitive cost base. Lead on major business investments and executive priorities within the function. Contribute to our cost and cash programme, leveraging data and analytics in the Centre of Excellence.
