Role and Responsibilities: As an Account Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Rental to secure new business, maintain and grow existing relationships, and ensure that vehicles are delivered to customers on time. The role also includes operational involvement, such as working with suppliers and attending networking events. You will be responsible for hunting for new business, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate new business opportunities through telephone outreach, customer visits, social media, and attending networking events (40%-50% of your time).
2. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, identifying areas for potential growth.
3. Collaborate with suppliers to order vehicles that meet customer requirements.
4. Monitor supplier stock reports to ensure a comprehensive understanding of available inventory.
5. Work closely with the contract hire team to maximize internal opportunities.
6. Identify and pursue upselling opportunities to enhance customer value.
7. Problem-solve to deliver the best possible service and solutions to customers.
8. Ensure accurate and up-to-date information in internal systems such as CRM and Pipedrive.
9. Attend supplier meetings and industry networking events as required.
About You: The ideal candidate is a driven and determined account manager with a passion for both sales and customer service. You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with customers and suppliers alike.
