Job Description:
Reporting to the Lighting and Video Manager, the Warehouse Assistant will work in our Manchester warehouse preparing, maintaining and managing the delivery of lighting and video systems for the busy hire department. Please note that the site will be moving to Rochdale.

Your day will look like this:
* To develop safe working practices according to H&S policies
* Assisting the asset management team with stock location / requests
* The preparation, supervision, assembly and de-preparation of lighting, video, rigging and mains distribution systems.
* Assisting the loading and tipping of courier / transport vehicles
* Ensuring equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
* Immediately reporting to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment
* Ensuring the warehouse is maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition
* Identifying and developing improvements to performance and processes through Continuous Improvement and working with managers.
* The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.
* Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.
Essential skills / experience:
* Good administration skills and an excellent telephone manner.
* Flexible and adaptable with the ability to learn quickly.
* Competent with the use of computers.
* Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
* Experience of working within a similar role would be advantageous.
* Good organisational skills
Level of education:
* Educated to GCSE level, with A-C or 4-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Work Experience:
* 1 year of experience in the Audio/lighting/Video industry.
* Right to work and remain in the UK
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours as required in addition to your normal hours of work.
