Multi-Skilled Maintenance Electrician | Northampton| £25p/hr
Your new role
A multi-skilled maintenance electrician is required to start work ASAP on a temporary contract. You need to be confident in carrying out reactive and planned building maintenance throughout the site, including Halls of Residence.
Duration: Until January 31st, 2025Hours: Full-time: 37 hours per week
Your day-to-day duties
* Demonstrate practical competence for semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks delegated by the Facilities Helpdesk.
* Efficiently conduct tasks including replacement lights/ sockets, wiring appliances and fault-finding.
* Liaising with the appropriate teams to ensure minimal disruption is caused to building users.
* Other general site checks to identify and record defects, with the Building Services Supervisor, ensuring information is accurately recorded.
* To complete relevant weekly/monthly Statutory Compliance checks including but not limited to Fire Alarm Testing, Emergency Light Testing and Water Temperature Testing.
What you'll need to succeed
* Be an Electrician by trade with previous experience and electrical qualifications (18th Edition or Level 3 NVQ)
* Smartphone/tablet literate is desirable
* You must hold a full UK driving licence E A/I
* Demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills to an appropriate standard
