Haberdashers’ Adams is a selective state grammar school with academy status situated in the small market town of Newport in rural Shropshire. It is a newly co-educational school from September 2024, taking approximately 30 girls into year 7. There are five forms of entry and currently about 1050 pupils on roll; approximately 100 of these are boarders. The Sixth Form has about 370 students of whom about 120 are girls.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Physical Education and Sport has responsibility for all sport in the school, both curricular and extra-curricular, leading the team of teaching staff and coaches to develop sporting excellence alongside the participation of pupils of all abilities for their enjoyment, health and lifelong engagement.
