About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure all equipment within the CIP area is kept clean to a high standard and is ready to use when required. They must liaise with the liquids filling PU to ensure the correct set-up for line washouts and product transfer utilising the SCADA system. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Cleaning of all Manufacturing and Intermediate storage Vessels using Clean In Place equipment ensuring that standards of Good Manufacturing Practice are maintained at all times.
2. Input and maintenance of manufacturing batch data using the PC based SCADA control system.
3. Operation of Intermediate storage vessels controlled by the SCADA system.
4. Liaising with manufacturing and filling Group Leaders to ensure availability of manufacturing and Intermediate storage vessels as required by the production schedule, and delivery of product to the filling department in an efficient manner.
5. Transfer of products between manufacturing vessels and storage vessels and subsequent transfer to the filling department. Connection of pipe work etc as required for CIP operations and product transfer.
6. Manual cleaning of manufacturing and Intermediate storage vessels and associated equipment.
7. Control of records in compliance with good manufacturing practice.
8. Control of environmental cleanliness within the CIP area in line with departmental requirements.
9. Ensuring the safe and correct operation of CIP equipment including any routine checks and maintenance.
10. Follows all safety measures around hot pipes and chemicals, including wearing proper PPE.
11. Ensuring sufficient stocks of cleaning materials, consumables and spare parts are available.
12. To perform any other ancillary tasks allocated by line management.
13. To perform a reasonable amount of overtime to meet department KPI’s.
