Site Operations Assistant

CY Partners is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Site Operations Assistant on behalf of our client, a pioneering research company based in Oxford. My client has ambitious growth plans and is looking for a Site Operations Assistant to help facilitate their cutting edge scientific research. In this key role you will ensure you will maintain optimal working conditions for laboratory and office based Scientists, through effective site and laboratory facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive consumables and chemical deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper storage while conducting regular stock checks.
* Manage and remove Clinical, General, Recyclable and liquid waste in accordance with regulations.
* Monitor chemical and solvent licenses and assist in writing and reviewing COSHH Risk Assessments to ensure compliance.
* Support health and safety inspections and procedures in collaboration with the Site Operations Manager.
* Maintain lab spaces, ensuring functionality, safety, and tidiness.
* Respond to equipment failures, coordinating repairs and managing maintenance records.
* Take responsibility for Liquid Nitrogen and cylinder levels, assisting with decanting and stock management.
* Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to facilitate smooth operations.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a lab/operations technician or equivalent in a life science setting.
* Understanding of chemicals and solvents used in R&D environments.
* Strong numeracy and written/verbal communication skills.
* Ability to adapt flexibly within a team and work independently as necessary.
* Proficiency in Office 365 and a willingness to learn new tools.
