Salary: £52,491 - £54,879 per annum plus market supplement of £10,323

As an IT Security Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting this public sector organisation’s IT infrastructure and sensitive information from cyber threats. You’ll develop and enforce robust IT security policies and lead the response to security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Developing and maintaining IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
* Leading responses to security incidents and managing the resolution process.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with security standards.
* Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Coordinating penetration testing and maintaining cyber incident response plans.
* Managing and mentoring the Cyber Security Analyst, ensuring continuous professional development.
What You’ll Need:
* Experience: Proven experience in managing information security functions, including incident response and stakeholder engagement.
* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues to a variety of audiences.
* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of security standards such as NIST, ISO27001, and data protection legislation (GDPR, Data Protection Act).
* Qualifications: A degree in information security, computer science, or a related field is essential. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are desirable.
