To assist in the administrative arrangements for the reception of bodies into the mortuary, the release for burial or cremation and associated activities. To facilitate and organise formal viewings on behalf of HM Coroner, in accordance with local standard operating procedures. Ensuring that relatives are supported and treated with consideration at all times. To be a person working under the Human Tissue Authority Licence supporting the designated individual (DI). To assist in the implementation and maintaining of effective controls and procedures to ensure that: - Service delivery is covered at all times - Participate in the out of hours service and on call system - Service specific targets are met - Health and safety policies are fully complied with and all risk assessments and operating procedures are reviewed at regular intervals and updated as required. - To maintain an awareness of all legislation, professional development and new initiatives nationally and locally in respect of mortuary operations. - To ensure that a robust system of record keeping is implemented, maintained and relevant databases are reviewed regularly as to their sufficiency and accuracy.
