More detail about the role The floor is split between clinical areas and offices, there for the cleaning will be different for both, clinical areas are cleaned every day and offices are done less frequently, bins will be done in both also the toilets are cleaned every day and we have colour coding equipment for these areas. The rubbish is in different bins depending on the type, the rubbish is then removed from the building at the end of the shift. Although there is always more than one house keeper in the building there is usually one person per floor. When mopping floors depending on the floor and department some clinics run late, we use a 50/50 system to allow access to clinics to carry on. cleaning to a high standard is required and cleaning is checked for auditing purposes using the NHS cleaning standards guides.
