Description
The purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the MRF (Materials Recycling Facility) plant under the direction of the Operations Manager and shift supervisor.
The work involves manually sorting through various waste materials on the process line along with hygiene duties and some basic general maintenance. Responsible for ensuring relevant waste is separated per its stream and that all recyclable elements are recovered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the recycling plant operations are managed in line with Health and Safety legislation and Enva standards.
2. Ensure all duties (recycling, inspections, and cleaning) are carried out and recorded as per company and manufacturer instructions and procedures.
3. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the plant in accordance with site licence and contractual conditions.
4. Sort and separate waste types to ensure plant performance is at its highest.
5. Training will be given on specialised plant.
6. Maintain the highest cleanliness of all working areas.
7. Ensure that the machines are maintained in a clean condition. Any defect affecting the safe working order of a machine must be reported immediately.
8. Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment, as provided by the Company, is worn at all times when handling waste materials.
9. Remain aware, at all times, of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and for the Health and Safety of your work colleagues.
10. Carry out other tasks within your operational ability or for which you have received appropriate training, as and when required.
11. Ensure compliance with all company work practices as directed.
12. Operate mobile plant and other plant equipment safely and competently where trained, instructed, and qualified to do so.
13. Assist with the general operations as required and instructed.
This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.

* Working in a regulated environment and in a Recycling facility
* Drivers Licence, NVQ, CSCS, Mobile Plant Licence
