Job Description:

Employment Law Solicitor
Manchester
£40,000 - £70,000 (DoE)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialized counsel to both employers and employees on various employment law matters.
* Take charge of Employment Tribunal proceedings, handling cases involving unfair dismissal, discrimination (e.g., sex, race, disability), and more.
* Oversee matters related to TUPE regulations, redundancy processes, and the transfer of business operations.
* Advise on issues surrounding restrictive covenants, breaches of confidentiality, and workplace disputes.
* Prepare and review employment contracts and staff handbooks.
* Carry out legal research and in-depth analysis to support case development.
* Draft legal documents, including court submissions and correspondence.
* Engage in discussions and negotiations with opposing legal representatives and relevant parties.
* Collaborate with colleagues and partners to create strategic plans that align with client goals.
* Actively participate in business development activities to support the firm’s growth.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
* 2 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Employment Law.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing Employment Tribunal claims and complex legal matters.
* Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and managing client relationships.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and supportive environment.
* Proactive in driving business development and marketing strategies.
