All about the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three full time and one 2 day per week post as an Alternatively Qualified Worker within the Family Safeguarding Service.
As an Alternatively Qualified Worker within this service, your role will be to assist Social Workers in their duties to safeguard children. This includes:
1. Completing direct work with children to ensure their voices are heard and influence the plans formulated to keep them safe
2. Delivering interventions to children and their parents, to progress plans to reduce overall risk and improve outcomes for children
3. Support in co-chairing meetings with families and professionals
4. Co-working complex cases with allocated social workers
Your days will be varied and at times requiring you to respond to the unexpected to achieve safe outcomes as part of a dedicated and experienced professional team.
A key part of the role entails building effective relationships with children and families and working collaboratively with our partner agencies.
