The tenders will be a mixture of “Design and Build” and “Traditional” contractors.
The projects vary in value from £2m to £30m and are across a range of sectors including highway authorities, industrial developments, rail and environmental. Other duties will include:\n\n * Responsible for the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.\n\n * Consult with internal and external tender team.\n\n * Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, produce or organise Bills of Quantities production and obtain material quotes.\n\n * Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and consult with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.\n\n * Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity.\n\n * Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings.\n\n * Review supply chain performance quarterly.\n\n * Attend pre-qualification, mid tender, and post tender interviews.\n\n * Visit sites to obtain feedback.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\n\nTo be considered for this Estimator role you must meet the following criteria:\n\n- Knowledge of Civils / Highways Sector.\n- Previous employment as an Assistant Estimator, Estimator, Senior Estimator or similar.\n\n- Previous experience / knowledge in Civils, Highways or Rail sector projects.\n- Previous Main Contractor employment\n- Excellent communication skills.\n- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).\n\nREMUNERATION:\n\nThe successful Estimator will receive:\n\n*Competitive Basic (Dependent on experience)\n*Car Allowance\n*Pension\n*Bonus\n\nTo be considered for this vacancy or to find out more information please apply now.\n\nServices advertised by Talk Recruitment are that of an employment business and/or agency.\n\nIf you have not had a reply on your application within five working days, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion
