Document Controller Cardiff Permanent salary package As a Document Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. The Document Controller is responsible for ensuring all document management processes are followed including the intake, handling and storage of documentation for the project, maintaining the documentation records such as: design drawings, reports, registers, subcontractor communications, agendas, minutes of meetings, quality inspections and checks. The role holder is required to support the accurate and timely preparation, maintenance and submission of all project documentation and submittals, transmittals and other correspondence in the various CDE (control document environment) and provide distribution to project team, this includes other documentation in and out to the Client and/or subcontractors and the implementation of the Document Coding that has been set for the project assuring the correct organisation, file naming/ titling, revision level, etc. prior to the submission. Administration and office tasks are part of the role, among others the creation of templates, email correspondence management, agendas and minutes of meetings elaboration, events organisation and attitude to embrace, create, promote and maintain work procedures. Key Responsibilities include: Archive, update, create& maintain registers/trackers to ensure that this is up to date. Communicate and collaborate with ProjectCo General Manager, Construction Director and project managers. Submission of emails, submittals, transmittals in coordination with other document controllers. Establish a procedural framework: identify, collect, distribute and complete the controlled documents. Work with auditors to maintain ISO status. Maintaining various Project registers including but not limited to drawings, BIM models, compensation events, consents, notification transmittals etc. Ensure the information and document control system is implemented in compliance with the Client’s standard. and is updated to reflect revisions to those standards. Maintain a watchful and alert attitude toward Project Team meetings, developing routine reports and metrics to gauge a Project Team’s success Requirements: Right to work in the UK 3 years post graduate experience in a similar role Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C) Previous Document Controller experience in engineering/ construction Demonstrated experience with the use of Adobe Acrobat and Document Control hardware and Software. Experience with IT software in particular the Microsoft suite. to include Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word.
