We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to be based in Yorkshire or the North West of England to cover the surrounding area(s) as well as Scotland and North-East England as required. This role will be working hands-on with our life sciences and diagnostics instrumentations lines.
In this role, the Field Service Engineer will act as the face for the company, making sure our customer needs are met with high quality.
The initial products that will be supported include our Reproductive Health portfolio, later expanding to a broader portfolio.
Role Description:
1. Perform field service as advised by Customer Care in conjunction with the Service / Team Leader. Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of the current and future Life Science / Diagnostics instrument portfolio with the initial focus on Reproductive Health Screening. Provide first line onsite user training on life science and diagnostics systems.
2. Organising routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis.
3. Ensures that all documentation, circuit diagrams, Service Data Bulletins and manuals are of the correct revision to undertake service on specific instrument types.
4. Maintains ancillary documentation e.g. Safety Manual, Procedures Manual to the highest standard with regular reviewing of manuals provided in accordance with the Quality Management System.
5. Align personal working practices with the department’s performance targets. Actively demonstrate compliance with all team targets.
6. Maintain personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard. Ensure all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved.
7. Ensure all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the service required, and that all test equipment issued is calibrated at the times specified.
8. Complete all Work Orders and associated documentation within a day of completion. Ensure all E Learning, Expense Claims and Vehicle related forms are retuned on time.
9. Perform specific and agreed tasks as defined through the Goal statements, already embedded in the Company Culture.
Role Requirements:
10. Relevant education or equivalent experience (e.g. Bachelor in Electronic Engineering or Biotechnology)
11. Experience in a Customer Service Environment, preferably with Life Science instrument applications.
12. Good communications skills
13. Strong customer service ethic
14. Prepared to travel
15. Full driving license
