We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Hewell, a category B mens Prison located in Worcestershire
Hours - The site currently offers Monday - Sunday shifts covering from 7am - 12.00pm
5 x 5.0 hr shifts per week (25 hours per week)
Every other weekend included
Salary - This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £24,669 - £28,690 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
* Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
* Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
* Receive prescriptions and stock returns from wing based clinical areas
* Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of returns
* Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications required
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
* Medicines handling experience desirable not essential
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
