We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to fill the interim position of Cemetery & Grounds Team Leader. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the cemetery and grounds maintenance team.
Ensure the cemetery grounds are maintained to a high standard, including landscaping, mowing, and planting.
Manage the scheduling of maintenance tasks and team assignments to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Interact with bereaved families to provide assistance and information regarding cemetery policies and procedures.
Oversee and participate in the setup and takedown for services, memorials, and events as needed.
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, ensuring equipment is in good working condition and properly stored.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies for the care of cemetery grounds and facilities.
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape management or groundskeeping, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with families and the public.
Knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance practices, and cemetery operations.
Basic mechanical skills for maintaining equipment and tools used in groundskeeping.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as needed.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £20.00
