Job Description Technical Lead - OrpheusWorks Full Time Bristol Why Rolls-Royce? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Lead to join the OrpheusWorks team, part of Engineering, Technology and Safety (ET&S) capability in Bristol. You will be working directly for the OrpheusWorks Chief Engineer, you will lead a team of engineers of varying experience, deployed from group ET&S, in support of all programme engineering objectives in accordance with programme and divisional strategy. This is a technical role that is expected to lead a (potentially geographically diverse) team of engineering resources effectively in a challenging, self-directed and agile environment and ensures robust, timely programme delivery. What you will be doing: As a Technical Lead, you own and deliver technical projects to satisfy requirements in including the following accountabilities: Assist the Chief Engineer and Whole Engine Design team in ensuring divisional compliance with the group Product Safety and Health, Safety and Environment policies and processes Robustly perform the required priority, tasking and engineering programme management within your deployed team to ensure right-first-time, on-time delivery in accordance with programme and divisional requirements and approved budget Be a key internal/external customer technical interface, working with the programme Whole Engine Design team to translate customer technical requirements into divisional and group ET&S objectives Actively support the robust integration of the approved engineering load in your deployed team into the divisional and group ET&S Integrated Master Schedules Work with us and we’ll welcome you into a culture of caring and belonging where you can be yourself. Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent) Up to date, relevant engineering expertise Proven engineering experience of successfully delivering technical projects/tasks to time, cost, quality, and leadership of teams to do the same Experience of collaboration with diverse teams from different cultures To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV).
