Accounts Manager Vacancy Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client’s well-established accountancy firm. They are seeking a proactive Accounts Manager to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, have experience in a fast-paced accounting practice, and be accustomed to working to tight deadlines. Strong technical, communication, organisational, and people management skills are essential. The successful candidate will work closely with the directors, with working hours from Monday to Friday. Role Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a practice environment Previous managerial or supervisory experience ACA or ACCA qualified Broad knowledge of entrepreneurial clients and understanding of owner-managed businesses’ accountancy needs Proficiency in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Flexible and adaptable with a focus on client care and retention A desire to develop and advance skills, keeping up with the latest technical advances Self-motivated with a proactive approach Highly personable and approachable with excellent communication skills Able to prioritise effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, LLPs, sole traders, personal tax, and HNW individuals Serve as the key point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns Review accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole trader accounts, and resolve review points Conduct personal and business tax computations, alongside tax and remuneration planning for SMEs Calculate quarterly instalment payments Review management accounts and engage in associated client discussions Review VAT returns and submissions Oversee job allocation and job completion, ensuring deadlines are met Attend client meetings both in the office and at clients' premises Work confidently with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Assist team members with technical queries and personal development Develop and maintain client relationships Identify tax planning opportunities for clients Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, where necessary Why Should You Apply?
