An exciting opportunity has arisen within South East London ICB within the Quality and Nursing directorate for a senior Safeguarding expert to lead and continue to transform safeguarding governance and process, as well as providing senior leadership and coordination across he 6 different borough teams in South East London. This role requires the post holder to have demonstrable and extensive previous experience of working in a designated nurse for safeguarding role. They will need to have a clear understanding of the intercollegiate guidance and an understanding of the safeguarding statutory requirements in relation to delivery, performance and compliance requirements as they pertain to ICBs. Local knowledge and understanding of the different challenges within each of the six south east London boroughs will be key to the development and delivery of a single strategy for the ICB. The purpose of this role is to provide specialist clinical safeguarding advice and operational leadership to the ICB’s Accountable and Responsible officers for safeguarding, to deliver the ICB’s statutory safeguarding functions. The role will also provide clinical leadership and visibility in supporting the South East London ICB place-based teams to deliver their safeguarding responsibilities and co-ordinate the delivery of National safeguarding priorities that can be delivered on a on a SEL ICB wide basis.
