Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven trainee to join our team whilst completing the ETP (Echo Training Programme). A trainee echocardiographer assists in the diagnostic process by performing echocardiograms (ultrasound scans of the heart) under supervision, learning the necessary technical and clinical skills to eventually carry out these procedures independently. Main duties of the job Main responsibilities include: Learning to Conduct Echocardiograms : A trainee echocardiographer works closely with qualified professionals and Newcastle University to learn how to perform echocardiograms on patients. Interpreting Results : Over time, following a training plan and competency framework, they'll gain the skills to assess and analyse these images.
