Your Role as a SEN Class Teacher: Provide Tailored Lessons – Plan and deliver lessons that are adapted to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, ensuring they can engage and succeed in their learning. Support Student Progress – Work closely with students, tracking their progress and providing the necessary support to help them reach their potential in both academic and social development. Collaborate with a Multi-Disciplinary Team – Work alongside specialists, including teaching assistants, speech therapists, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and create a holistic learning experience. Foster a Positive Classroom Environment – Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to participate in their learning. Monitor and Assess Progress – Regularly assess and track student development, providing feedback to students, parents, and other professionals involved in the student’s education. Promote Social & Emotional Development – Support students in developing key social skills, confidence, and emotional resilience, encouraging positive behavior and interactions. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching at primary or secondary level, preferably with a focus on SEN. ✅ Experience with SEN – Knowledge and experience in working with students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional and social challenges. ✅ Patient & Compassionate – A caring and empathetic approach to teaching, with a genuine passion for making a positive impact in students' lives. ✅ Creative & Adaptable – A flexible and innovative teaching style, with the ability to adapt lessons and strategies to suit individual learning needs. ✅ Strong Communication Skills – Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student development. ✅ An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
