Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including, but not limited to)
1. Accounts Receivable - Responsible for all facets of the A/R process:
2. Post all A/R activity to the G/L on a weekly basis.
3. Post all gift accounting activity to the G/L on a weekly basis.
4. Work closely with the Philanthropy Office to reconcile all fundraising activities.
5. Maintain reconciliations of assigned account numbers.
6. Maintain files and documentation accurately in accordance with accepted accounting practices.
7. Work in tandem with other departments on proper collection/processing of payments for events held at or for Derryfield.
8. Responsible for temporarily restricted gift management.
9. Prepare journal entries and spreadsheets, in the performance of accounting, budget, and financial analysis work.
10. Perform the month-end close process and reconciliation of assigned ledgers.
11. Prepare and oversee all required financial documents for the annual audit.
12. Work closely with the Controller, Enrollment, and CFO on all matters relating to Net Tuition Revenue (NTR).
13. Work closely with the Controller, Facilities Director, and CFO on all matters relating to transportation.
14. Perform monthly bank reconciliations of all Derryfield cash accounts.
15. Prepare annual renewal of the School’s property, plant & equipment insurance.
16. Additional duties as assigned.

11. Willingness and ability to work flexible work schedules, which may include some evenings and weekends.
12. Appreciation of and commitment to independent school education, diversity, and serving the needs of a diverse population.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience:
1. Minimum of 7 years experience in an accounting office.
2. Minimum of 7 years experience using accounting software.
3. Strong computer and Excel skills a must.
