We are excited to partner with a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation in their search for an experienced Health & Safety professional. This role would suit either an established Health & Safety Manager or someone who is looking to step up from a H&S officer/Advisor into a Management role where you will be given accountability for maintaining and developing the H&S Management system and policies. Part of this role will also include overseeing the facilities management of the site but the main bulk of the role will revolve around the H&S management systems and processes.
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
* Create and uphold health and safety policies, processes and practices
* Ensure that best practice and legal standards are upheld
* Ensure risk assessments, accident investigations and near-miss reports are actioned, and corrective actions are implemented
* Collate and prepare H&S related stats and KPI’s for reporting to SMT
* Ensure that any hazards and risks are identified, and preventative solutions are put in place
* Provide guidance on maintaining and enhancing safe working practices
* Ensure that H&S practices and processes are communicated across the business and that employees are engaged in best practice
* Drive sustainability and environmental initiatives
* Ensure that facilities maintenance and works are completed through managing schedules, sub-contractors and services to ensure the safe and efficient running of the site
Skills and Experience required:
* Previous experience in managing Health and safety systems and policies within a manufacturing environment
* NEBOSH level 3 or IOSH certification or adequate level of experience
* Previous experience in roles such as Health and Safety Manager / H&S Advisor / Health & Safety Officer will be essential
