The Position
The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of the Professional Services processes using the various business applications used at Fortinet. This covers scoping activities, delivery tasks as well as budgeting/invoicing/revenue follow-up for PS projects that will support deployment of Fortinet’s products for customers and partners.
You will work with Fortinet account teams, BDMs, and peers in Professional Services to ensure scoping requests are managed in a timely manner and coordinate preparation of Scope of Work (SoW) for pre-defined packaged projects, as well as ensuring the delivery of pre-defined packaged projects on time and according to the agreed scope.
You will support the senior Program Managers with their requests for assistance in project execution, ensure quality of data and consistency between the various business applications, and take responsibility for global administration of the Professional Services business application, developing reports required from PS leadership and teams globally to manage the practice.
Responsibilities
1. Works closely with all customer-facing Fortinet functions with the Professional Services team as well as sales teams, order management, and finance teams.
2. Understands pre-defined packages and works with customers to agree on project schedules.
3. Identifies resources needed and works with resource management to set up the project team.
4. Coordinates internal resources for the flawless execution of projects.
5. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
6. Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
7. Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
8. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
9. Reports and escalates to management as needed.
10. Manages escalations with all levels internally and externally to achieve success.
11. Effectively applies Fortinet's methodology and enforces project standards.
12. Monitors data quality on projects and raises concerns where appropriate.
13. Global administration and reporting management for Professional Services business application.
Job Requirements
1. 5+ years with similar job or relevant experience.
2. Expertise with Microsoft Office products (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
3. Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
4. Strong commitment and self-driven individual.
5. Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
6. Outstanding oral and written communication in English; another language would be a plus.
7. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
8. React to priorities adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
9. Flexible during times of change.
10. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
