Quantity Surveyor

My client is a privately owned, multi-award winning construction and integrated support services business with 50 years' experience. Building for generations and working with select clients nationally, the company offers a holistic range of services: acquire, design, build, operate, and maintain.
Their contracts are primarily in the care, residential, and education sectors; New Care and Back to the Garden Childcare, as well as supporting revered clients with their nationwide rollout programmes in the health care and food retail arenas.
Due to sustained growth, we are now looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor based out of our Altrincham office. You will be working on a project in Harrogate.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Client valuations including thorough measurement as work progresses, through to final account.
2. Cash flow forecasts and monitoring against programme.
3. Accurate valuation, forecasting, and monitoring of site Preliminaries.
4. Ensure full recovery and valuation of variations/instructions.
5. Provision of timely and accurate documentation, warranties, and the like, both internally and externally.
6. Ensuring that the procurement of subcontractors is undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner.
7. Administration of subcontractor contracts and accounts.
8. Ensuring that payments/notices are issued in accordance with the Subcontract and Construction Act.
9. Timely production of subcontract final accounts, including re-measurement and valuation of all variations as necessary to facilitate the optimum result.
10. Keep the Managing Surveyor informed of the progress of both client and subcontractor accounts through to their finalisation, including the release of retentions.
11. Compile monthly Cost/Value reconciliations and forecasts, including future risks and opportunities, and present to the senior management team.
12. Ensure any commercial threats to projects are identified swiftly and communicated to the Managing Surveyor, and all contractual notices are issued correctly and on time.
13. Attend meetings and ensure that surveying information and cost advice is provided in an accurate, timely, and proficient manner.
Requirements:
1. Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
2. Experience of working for a Main Contractor.
3. Design and build experience.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Experienced in commercially managing large scale projects.
