Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised Pathology Services Manager to join our Trust.
The Pathology Services Manager at Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (LWH) will be the key representative for Pathology at LWH, working in collaboration with the Laboratories, Trust clinicians and Divisional Management to ensure delivery of robust, patient-focused and efficient integrated Pathology services. The post holder will have direct responsibility for Clinical Pathology and operational leadership of the labs and lead innovation in Point of Care Testing and Sampling errors across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist expertise in Pathology/Haematology and be the lead scientist in the area
Implement quality improvement projects within the Services and deliver in a timely fashion.
Overseeing performance management systems to ensure services meet agreed service specification including key performance indicators and other local and national targets. Analysing and using performance management data to inform and improve service delivery.
Promote and support the development and enhancement of service delivery models across the multiple service suppliers within Pathology.
Work closely with the lead clinicians, the operational leads, and the service managers amongst others to develop the service and manage risk.

1. Educated to first level degree or equivalent experience

3. Business/management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience at post graduate/diploma level
