The Role
As a Data Developer at TLA, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimising our data platform, ensuring the seamless integration and flow of data that underpins the business and our innovative automotive marketing solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust ETL pipelines, managing data within our Data Hub. This role is critical in supporting the organisation’s data-driven decisions and ensuring the availability, integrity, and usability of data across the company. You will also ensure the accurate and timely delivery of data to our clients.
Our back-end technologies centre around C# and .NET and Microsoft SQL, however we have a broad range of technologies and systems so plenty to get your teeth into! We also follow a modern approach to CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). We have also adopted a TDD style approach to ensure our quality and architecture is the best it can be. As a member of the team, you'll work closely with your Head of Data and with the Head of Development, helping your colleagues and shaping our small but talented development community.
Skills Required
Essential Requirements for role:
1. Excellent SQL knowledge working with SQL Server
2. Experience in C# and .NET
3. A passion for learning and self-development.
4. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, explaining complex data-related concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Nice to have but not essential:
1. Experience in CD, with automation of build, IaC, and testing
2. Experience of Azure cloud or data services (Function Apps, Azure SQL etc)
3. Experienced with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) or building and optimising data pipelines.
4. Understanding data security best practices, including data encryption, secure data transfer, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
