CNC/Print Production Operative This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly team in rural offices on the outskirts of Wokingham. The role combines your skills as a CNC and Print/Production operator. Working as an integral part in the print production team responsible for operating large format printing and laminating machinery and performing the required finishing operations with occasional requirement for installation with overtime sometimes available. This role offers a combination of technical skill in handling printing/manufacturing machinery and a keen eye for detail in finishing processes to ensure high-quality printed products and manufactured items. Key Job Responsibilities: CNC Manufacturing/Finishing We are looking for an experienced and motivated CNC operator to join our team As a CNC operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and overseeing operations of CNC machines: AXYZ Trident flatbed 1.5 x 3m and Trotec Speedy 400 Laser. Studying materials and specifications Translating instructions into computer commands Setting up and installing tools and attachments Calculating requirements Preparing and loading raw materials onto the machines Planning stock inventory Conducting machinery checking on a daily basis Following safety procedures and regulations Supervising the machines Print/Production Produce high-quality prints that meet or exceed customer and company specifications. Handle various print and finishing machines: Canon Colorado, Epson SureColor S80600 Gerber P2C1200 vinyl cutter, and Vivid Easymount laminator. Set up and adjust machinery according to specific job requirements, ensuring optimal operation. Maintain clear and responsive communication with print team members to ensure a cohesive workflow. Ensure all projects are completed and delivered within agreed timelines, prioritizing efficiency and quality. Regularly perform maintenance on printing and finishing equipment to ensure smooth operation. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Install finished products at customer sites when required. Adhere to all safety practices and policies within the print room. Participate in training on safety protocols and proper use of machinery. Person Specification Full, clean driving licence for attending customer sites Highly developed attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and interpret drawings Knowledge of Onyx Thrive, Alpha Cam and Adobe Illustrator Previous experience in print industry would be advantageous Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday Salary: £30-35k, Depending on experience.
