An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic band 6 pharmacists to join our friendly team on our rotational development programme. You will be part of a team of pharmacists providing a range of pharmaceutical services in the busy acute hospitals within the Trust.

You will rotate through placements across both sites, which will include Patient services, Clinical Pharmacy service, Medicines information, and Technical Services (production).
The pharmacy department is an integral part of the clinical team and overall Trust strategy. Our major sites, King George Hospital in Ilford and Queen's Hospital in Romford, are in excellent locations less than 30 minutes from Central London.
This advert is open to pharmacist trainees registering in August 2024.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assisting the pharmacy department in providing a comprehensive, patient-oriented clinical pharmacy service at ward and department level throughout Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. He/she will work closely with senior colleagues and clinical technicians to ensure the provision of an integrated and efficient service.

Our patients are benefiting from our Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
