It’s an exciting time to join Warwick District Council’s Neighbourhood and Assets team, as we deliver on a variety of building projects for the Council’s housing stock and to our many historic buildings. Our projects are varied and interesting and will provide you with building project challenges not often found within our sector. We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our experienced team on a permanent basis. This role will specialise on surveys and works arising from Disrepair Cases, so experience with Disrepair Protocol and liaising with complainant’s solicitors and expert witnesses is key. Quickly addressing CAT 1 HHSRS failures will also form part of this role. Your work will be key to ensuring we meet the Regulator of Social Housings Safety and Quality Standard. Our work also involves specifying and managing other works to the Council’s housing stock and providing aids and adaptations work for our tenants, as well as work to our corporate and commercial premises including many buildings in conservation areas and several which are of regional and national importance. We work on an agile basis, with much of our work being delivered either on site or from home; office and hybrid working are also available. Whilst home working is offered for this role, it is a requirement that the successful candidate be available to attend sites and meetings at our offices within Warwick district when required. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
