Core Responsibilities
1. Actively draft, negotiate and advise on complex multi-national agreements (often in an outsourcing context) with clients, including responding to RFPs and supporting the entire contracting process.
2. Review, draft, negotiate and advise on all types of contracts related to the WD business, including licensing agreements, local country agreements pursuant to a multi-country MSA, real estate services, and technology services.
3. Consult and coordinate with global legal colleagues on multi-regional opportunities and issues.
4. Participate in EMEA Commercial Review Board meetings and present to senior executives on areas of legal, commercial, and operational risks in client contracts.
5. Analyse complex contractual risks and counsel business teams on operational and legal issues associated with client contracts.
6. Advise and negotiate across a wide range of commercial legal issues including IPR, data privacy, and technology services provision.
7. Serve as a strategic partner to the Work Dynamics business team, providing legal support for business initiatives.
8. Counsel internal business clients on various legal issues arising in the context of performing services for JLL’s Work Dynamics client accounts.
9. Liaise with JLL’s Risk Management Department and other internal support functions to identify and mitigate JLL’s exposure to risk.
10. Manage, negotiate and resolve claims and disputes, including coordinating with internal litigation experts and external counsel.
11. Mentor and supervise junior team members, with potential direct line management responsibilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
1. Strong contract interpretation, negotiation, and drafting skills.
2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at identifying key legal issues and developing creative solutions.
3. Experience in the professional services sector, with outsourcing particularly advantageous.
4. Experience in real estate, construction, or technology services sectors is of interest.
5. Understanding of TUPE/ARD matters in an outsourcing context is a plus.
6. Experience in a multi-national organization is desirable.
7. Understanding of risk management/mitigation issues as they relate to contracts for professional services.
8. Able to conceptualize and articulate pragmatic legal and business solutions to complex challenges.
9. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on collaboration.
10. Able to work independently, but in a team environment.
11. Acute attention to detail.
