Note: This position is available to internal applicants only. About the role Temporary Fulltime position from June 2025 up to July 2026. In this role you will make a valuable contribution to the operations of the department through the provision of quality customer service and technical administration tasks related to land title dealings, subdivision certificates, heritage advisory services, and prelodgement development advisory meetings. You will also provide support to the Business Operations Coordinator on continuous improvement projects, systems administration and programmed upgrades, and act as a subject matter expert on organisation-wide business improvement programs. In this role you will be responsible for handling a wide range of customer enquiries, preparation of correspondence, database and electronic file maintenance, maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, and assisting on change management programs. The successful candidate must have appropriate qualifications in business administration (or a relevant field) and demonstrated practical experience. Government experience is also preferred, coupled with enthusiasm for business improvement and innovation, attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Mentoring and leadership skills will also be considered favourably. Essential criteria Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or equivalent, preferably relevant to planning and development. A working knowledge of planning and development processes. Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement. Demonstrated experience in systems and process improvement. Desirable criteria Sound administrative experience in local government. Commencing salary: $76,329.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation. You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
