Senior Engineer (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Central London. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of industry experience and a proven track record of diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults and providing high-quality solutions for the customer. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF systems, split units, and chillers, ensuring efficient and effective resolutions.
2. Provide comprehensive information on system faults and required remedial works to the office team, allowing accurate quotes for replacement parts and equipment.
3. Perform system upgrades and component replacements as necessary.
4. Collaborate with customers to explain faults, recommend solutions, and provide expert advice on system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
5. Conduct routine maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal system performance, providing accurate and timely customer reports through our service management software worksheets.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety precautions and best practices, including conducting risk assessments for health, safety, and access issues prior to commencing work.
7. Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to support their development and ensure high-quality work across the team.
Location
Customer sites within Greater London and surrounding home counties. The majority of work is in the West End and at Canary Wharf.
Qualifications
1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (preferred)
2. A valid UK driving license (preferred)
3. PASMA (preferred)
4. IPAF (preferred)
Knowledge and Experience
1. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in air conditioning service and fault finding, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues (essential)
2. Comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF systems, split units, and chillers (preferred)
3. Manufacturer's training with Daikin and Mitsubishi (preferred)
4. Comprehensive health and safety awareness and practical training in working at height (essential)
5. Familiarity with Big Change service management software (preferred)

1. Exceptional fault-finding and diagnostic skills (essential)
2. Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and working with clients and internal teams (essential)

Working Conditions
Full health and safety awareness training will be provided for: risk assessment, personal protective equipment, ladder safety, manual handling, fire safety, electrical safety, asbestos awareness, confined spaces, Legionella awareness, COSHH, abrasive wheels, hand-arm vibration, noise awareness and workplace first aid. Practical training will be given in the safe use of ladders and rooftop safety.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
