Salary: £28,813 - £32,624 per annum
Duration: Perm – 35 hours a week

My client, an institution specialising in higher education such as Fashion and Media, is looking for a Residence Receptionist to provide top-notch customer service for the Halls of Residence, which brings together over 3700 students throughout 14 Halls located all around London. To excel in this role, you should possess a cheerful and welcoming personality along with a hands-on proactive attitude.
Duties will include:
* Undertake duties such as minute taking, diary management, and organizing meetings or events, as directed and required by the Residence Manager or the Deputy Residence Manager.
* Provide a first-class reception service, including responding to face-to-face inquiries and providing a meet and greet service for contractors, couriers, delivery drivers, visitors, and guests.
* Coordinate the post management system.
* Manage your own and the generic inboxes, responding to mail queries and maintaining professional etiquette in person and in writing.
* Perform a range of administrative tasks at halls as directed by the Residence Manager or Deputy Residence Manager to facilitate service delivery.
* Support the financial processes at the hall, including placing orders, processing invoices, monitoring arrears, and delivering student debt letters.
* Handle all-resident communications, such as group mails, production of simple posters, and electronic newsletters.
* Provide information on accommodation at the hall and signpost residents to other services and departments within the University.
* Provide administrative assistance to the Residence Manager or Deputy Residence Manager.
* Support the Residential Operations Administrator.
* Export data from the Housing Management System (Kinetics) to assist in service delivery, such as maintenance requests.
* Coordinate business activity with colleagues from other teams within Accommodation Services and assist with their objectives according to deadlines.
* Occasionally contribute to the Accommodation Services web pages and monitor social media if needed.
To be considered for a possible interview, you must possess:
* 5 GCSE passes (including Maths & English) or equivalent.
* Knowledge of accommodation management software.
* Strong knowledge of using Excel, Word, and other MS packages.
* Experience of minute taking and diary management.
* Experience of dealing with financial/procurement procedures (desirable but not essential).
* Ability to provide routine oral and written information clearly and concisely.
* Experience in customer service delivery as the first point of contact.
* Ability to demonstrate lone working and work under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team or with different professional groups.
* Effective communication skills, orally, in writing, and/or using visual media.
The suitable post holder will be expected to work flexible shifts and some weekends between July and September each year due to the nature of the job.
