As a Product Manager, Acute Care & Sage UK&I you will develop specific marketing plans and activities for the specific products and product lines to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace, oversee market research, monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs. Establish pricing strategies, work with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products/lines.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, in order to apply principles and concepts of own subject/technical discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 or more years experience.
What you will be doing:
1. Understand key competitors and their relative strengths/weaknesses
2. Understand customer groups, including why customers buy the product or service approach for the product or portfolio
3. Understand the different marketing channel strategies and associated business implications
4. Track and report results/KPIs to leadership and sales
5. Play a role in developing key strategy documents: strategic plan, annual marketing plan, product launch plans, etc
6. Support the creation of Project Charters, CERs, and Business Case Financial Models as applicable
7. Understand competitive dynamics in the market
8. Understand what customers value and how they perceive different attributes of the product or portfolio
9. Articulate why the product or portfolio adds value or solves problems for the customer
10. Create marketing strategies to understand, develop, and enhance the relationship between the customer and the product or portfolio
11. Propose objectives for generating clinical evidence and evaluates studies
12. Tie the business goal of the product or portfolio to the overall goal of Stryker
13. Synthesize market trends and make recommendations on areas of strategic focus
14. Develop new strategies, sales tools, and communication plans for the product or portfolio
15. Apply clinical knowledge in combination with technical knowledge to educate and articulate value
16. Work closely with sales training/sales enablement to set the sales training strategy for the product or portfolio
17. Responsible for the obsolescence plan
18. Provide analytical support to set price
19. Articulate desired communications outcomes consistent with marketing strategy to MarComm team
20. Establish short-range and long-range improvement goals for the product management team, and under guidance, develop action plans to achieve those goals
21. Analyze customer satisfaction to assess trends in customer engagement, and incorporates trends into strategic planning
22. Provide marketing intelligence group with key objectives and inputs to drive customer insights

What you will need:
27. We are looking for an individual with either marketing or medical device sales experience
28. Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
29. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
30. Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
31. Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
32. Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
33. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
34. A full, valid UK drivers license.
