We are expanding our team and looking for a highly skilled Account Manager to join our remote sales team. Role Overview:
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key clients in the engineering and construction sectors. Your focus will be on selling structural steel products and processing services to new and existing clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects, and driving revenue growth.
You will work remotely, with the flexibility to manage your own schedule while liaising with clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Development & Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients in the engineering and construction sectors.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue leads, targeting key decision-makers in construction firms, engineering companies, and fabricators.
• Sell a range of structural steel products (beams, columns, plates, sections) and related processing services (cutting, drilling, fabrication).
• Account Management:
• Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Provide clients with technical expertise on steel products and processing services, advising them on the best solutions for their projects.
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring all sales targets are met or exceeded.
• Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of structural steel products and processing capabilities to meet client requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings.
• Project Coordination:
• Work closely with internal teams (sales support, logistics, processing) to ensure timely delivery of products and services to clients.
• Address any customer issues or concerns promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements:
• Experience in Structural Steel Sales:
• MUST have at least 2-3 years’ experience in selling structural steel products and services.
• Strong knowledge of the structural steel market and understanding of processing services (e.g., cutting, drilling, welding).
• Industry Knowledge:
• Proven experience working with engineering and construction clients, including fabricators, contractors, and structural engineers.
• Sales Expertise:
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and develop new business in a competitive market.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Remote Work & Self-Motivation:
• Ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and work independently.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales.
• Location: UK-based (Remote, no travel required)
