We have a fantastic opportunity on a 12 month fixed-term contract as a Resourcing Manager. In this role you will manage a team of Resourcing Business Partners and Consultants who support a diverse range of our business areas. You’ll coach and support them to make sure we are attracting and recruiting the very best diverse talent out there. You’ll also work closely with the HRBP team and senior stakeholders in the business to proactively plan their resourcing activity so that we can meet their future requirement with the very best diverse talent. Each area will have a different challenge which will require you to think about new attraction strategies, new talent options and how we compete with other employers.
You’ll need to be experienced in dealing with senior stakeholders, know your way around recruitment and will have done workforce planning before.
Personally, you’ll be curious and be determined with a ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll also take pride in coaching and helping your team grow.
About the Role
The Resourcing Manager plays a pivotal role in the Resourcing team, leading and coaching a team of Resourcing Professionals to perform at their highest levels and deliver challenging recruitment solutions for both internal talent moves and external recruitment. This role will oversee all resourcing activity relating to the recruitment process which falls into 4 key areas, candidate attraction, candidate selection, stakeholder management and on boarding.
The Resourcing Manager will also be part of the resourcing management team and work closely with the Resourcing Lead on the future strategy of the resourcing function as the priorities change for Severn Trent.
This role is an integral part of the end to end recruitment process. It is a key operational, process and task driven, data orientated role where attention to detail and accuracy is really important as well as customer focus to all stakeholders. The Resourcing Manager will drive the performance of the team through setting stretching and achievable objectives, to deliver service excellence across all areas.
In this role you will be responsible for driving and developing communication across the resourcing team and wider HR team as well as any other relevant business functions. The key objectives for the role is to develop a robust delivery capability, manage key stakeholders, and to develop the expertise and capability of the team members.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Let’s talk about the key accountabilities of the position:
•Ensuring the team deliver an excellent service across the end to end recruitment process managing team performance, appraisals and development
•Driving team adherence to process and regulatory requirements
•Identifying areas to continuously improve the processes involved
•Implement on the job and formal coaching and training plans for the team
•Build and develop on going relationships across Severn Trent senior leaders where necessary
•Play a key role in key strategic change projects (and a support role in others) to help us become a best in class resourcing and talent function
The skills and experience required to be successful include:
•Managing teams of c. 5-10 people in a process driven recruitment environment.
•Providing a first class service to a variety of stakeholders.
•Producing creative ways to motivate a team to achieve service excellence
•A strong track record of creating a high performing team, with first-hand experience of delivering contingent, permanent and high volume recruitment services
•Effective stakeholder management, building positive relationships, engaging and collaborating effectively with others.
•Using MI to drive performance and identify areas for improvement.
•Managing key stakeholders across the organisation to help raise the profile of the resourcing function.
•Working with third parties to support operational service delivery.
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present information in a clear, logical and informative way.
•The ability to lead and inspire teams by providing clear direction, setting appropriate standards of behaviour and motivating and empowering others.
•Good analytical, facilitation and problem solving skills with the ability to understand Management Information and solve problems on a daily basis. •Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to set clearly defined goals, manage time effectively and identify and organise resources needed to accomplish tasks.
•The ability to work productively in a high pressure environment whilst maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.
•The ability to make prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks.
•The ability to accept new ideas, change initiatives and adapt interpersonal style to suit different people or situations
•Have experience of facilitating workforce planning with the teams you support
