Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Mechanical Process Design Manager to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly working from home, onsite a couple of days a month) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
As a Mechanical Process Design Manager, your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:
* Support the development, leadership, management, and co-ordination of the technical design packages agreeing project related objectives, managing performance of Engineering and Design resource, and making appropriate technical management decisions.
* Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
* Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project's technical planning process.
You
To succeed within the role of a Mechanical Process Design Manager, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
* Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards chartership.
* BEng or BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
* Minimum 8 years' experience of designing mechanical services/process systems.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
* Understanding of hydraulic/pressure calculations.
