Position Overview:
As the Head of People within Aqualogic, you will play a vital role in managing the human resources functions of the organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the companys mission, values, and business objectives. Your primary focus will be on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
* Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates for various positions within the organisation.
* Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
* Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements of each position.
* Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and professional organisations to expand the talent pool.
Employee Relations:
* Serve as an advisor to directors and managers, providing guidance and support on HR:related matters.
* Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and confidential manner, promoting a positive work environment.
* Conduct investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary.
* Implement employee recognition programmes and initiatives to boost morale and foster a culture of appreciation and teamwork.
Performance Management:
* Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
* Provide training and support to managers and employees on performance management best practices and techniques.
* Monitor and evaluate employee performance against established goals and provide coaching and support to help individuals reach their full potential.
* Identify and address performance issues through constructive feedback, coaching, and development plans.
Training and Development:
* Design and deliver training programmes to enhance employee skills and competencies in areas such as leadership, communication, and technical expertise.
* Identify training needs and gaps within the organisation and develop strategies to effectively address them.
* Support career development initiatives, including succession planning, talent mapping, and leadership development programs.
* Encourage continuous learning and professional growth among employees through mentoring, coaching, and access to learning resources.
