Overview

Are you a nurse approaching graduation? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) with less than <12 months of experience, to join our healthcare team. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to embark on a rewarding nursing career.

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of subordinate personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing, always working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse


Responsibilities

* Provide compassionate and competent direct patient care under the guidance of experienced nursing staff.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate documentation of patient responses.
* Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are met.
* Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote wellness and prevent complications.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment.
* Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address emergent situations and provide timely interventions.
* Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, staying current with evidence-based practices and healthcare trends.
* Uphold professional standards, ethical principles, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
* Foster a positive and empathetic atmosphere for patients, supporting them through their healthcare journey.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.

Credentials

* Valid/Active Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start date)
* Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Diploma Nursing Program
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association is required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are beneficial.
* National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (unit dependent)


Education

* RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program


Other Information

This position is for the Graduate Nurse Residency Program position starting November/December 2024.

Prior to Hire you will need to submit the following documentation:

* Resume
* Active Nursing License
* Current BLS Certification
* NIHSS Certification
