Reed Business Support is seeking a dedicated Stores Manager to oversee the general operations and personnel within the Main Stores and a small Electrical Assembly for our client based in Rochester. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for maintaining high standards in store management and operations. Stores Manager d ay-to-day of the role: Supervise the stores team to ensure an efficient and accurate booking in/out and operational process, maintaining high accuracy of stock vs system count. Define and enforce the goods in process, checking stock and quantities against the purchase order. Conduct incoming quality control by checking the quality of delivered items and reporting to the Buyer as required. Communicate with suppliers and couriers to address any potential issues or enquiries. Process data entry using company CRMs such as Pegasus Opera and Salesforce. Maintain and report against a set of operational KPI targets aiming for continual improvement. Ensure all items are stored properly to maintain control of item quality and safety. Maintain optimum stock levels and ensure settings are correct in the stock management system. Complete stock takes, cycle counts, and valuations within main stores. Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounts, and Manufacturing Departments. Supervise electrical assembly operations, including planning and process development. Ensure that manufactured part stock levels are correct and provided on time to target dates. Maintain an organised and tidy store, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld at all times. Manage staff absences and annual leave to ensure continuous service provision. Perform all usual supervisory duties including absence management and annual reviews. Undertake any other duties as requested and relevant to the role. Stores Manager r equired Skills & Qualifications: Physically fit with energy, passion, and alignment with our company values. Positive and proactive approach. Desirable: Experience using Pegasus Opera/CRM systems. Desirable: Previous manufacturing store management experience with demonstrable improvement achievements. Previous experience working with a Barcoding system. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent ability to organise time and prioritise workload with minimal supervision. IT literate: proficient in MS Office and database operation. Stores Manager b enefits: Competitive salary of £35,000 per year. Work schedule: Monday to Friday.
